Ok. If I was writing a proposal I would careful review all the responses thus far. I would then take a walk trying not to think directly about any criticism but rather focusing on what was my key intent was. Then I would return to my texts and collaborators and see if I can push the idea further and in a clearer direction. What is at stake? Is there a better way to get at it? Then I would rework my ideas. I would look at the materials and methods and think about whether there is a better way to achieve my goals. It is rare as students that you can put together a budget. I would recommend proposing a budget in the 5,000 range, but keeping it in your mind how to do it for 3,000. colin
