Claire and Lee:

I like this idea.  The classification thing.  Somehow I find the tree idea most compelling - kingdom, phylum, genus, species, variety….an arbitrary way of linking people together - yet is classifies them.  interesting. needs to remain straight and serious, as if this is done all the time.  this is how people are classified.  Brings up issues of classifiying, cataloging - questions actual connections, and arbitrariness of social systems…
